About Me
Delta Stewardess: “Local time is 11:08pm. If you are arriving into Orlando from a visit elsewhere, welcome home.”
Me: “Thanks!”
I was inspired after a Dec 2011/Jan 2012 trip “home” to start a blog as a way to try and infuse more magic in my regular, daily life in between flights. No I don’t actually live in Orlando, but with as often as I check their local news and the news around Walt Disney World, one might wonder.
I know I’m not the only Disney addict fan out there. But, everyone seems to have a different story. And there’s no denying that something special happens when we are all “gathered around the (virtual) fire”. What I post are some of the ways I try to live the magic every day of my life, not just when I’m on vacation.
So what do I do?
Music. I’m a professional music teacher and musician, so I love listening to music. Check out some of the music posts to see some of the awesome music I’ve discovered around the Disney Parks that help me get from A to B everyday.
Running. After a friend of mine inspired me to do Couch to 5K (C25K), I completed my first ever 5K race at Disney World: The Expedition Everest Challenge. Once I discovered I could merge my new fondness for running with my love of Disney, I knew I was hooked. Since starting running in 2011, I have run a number of different races, including four Disney Half-Marathons. Looking forward to running the Wine & Dine Half in 2014 and someday, the WDW Marathon.
Photography. Armed with my iPhone and my Olloclip, I will someday rule the world. Or maybe just have an awesome collection of pictures. Either way, I think I win.
Travel. While it is no doubt that Disney Parks are typically my preferred vacation destination, my family, Pal Mickey, and I do love to travel to other places as well.
Social Media. If I am not working or traveling, I’m probably on my computer or my phone checking out social media. If you ever feel like chatting, feel free to say hi. On Twitter, I am @TIx2GR (T, I, double, GR— get it? ;) ). Pal Mickey also has his own Facebook and Twitter that you can check out as well.
These are just some of the ways I find magic- hope to share something that may help you find some magic as well!
